Annual Giving

By giving, you are supporting our school's Vision and Mission, fostering a community where our girls are empowered to dream big and achieve boldly!

As we kick off another thrilling school year, we have a special reason to celebrate: Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School is turning 115! For over a century, our beloved school, founded by two visionary educators, has been a shining beacon of academic excellence, leadership, and community spirit. We are incredibly proud of the vibrant legacy we have built together.

To mark this incredible milestone, we are launching our Annual Giving Campaign with a heartfelt appeal. We invite each member of our ECS family—Old Girls, parents, faculty, and friends—to join us in this special campaign with a contribution of $115, or any multiple thereof. Your support will directly enrich the programs, resources, and opportunities that make ECS a place where girls truly thrive, learn, and lead.

Whether you choose to give $115, $230, $345, or more, your generosity will have a meaningful impact on our school community. Every contribution, no matter the amount, is a testament to the strength and unity of our ECS family, and ensures that we continue to deliver our Mission of providing an exceptional education for many future generations of girls.

If you wish to give your gift now, please do not hesitate to contact the Advancement committee. Should you prefer to donate to other fundraising campaigns, such as the NOW Fund or Scholarships & Bursaries, please see below.

We thank you for your unwavering dedication to ECS! Together, we will continue to innovate, and nurture empathetic, globally-minded trailblazers who challenge the status quo.

NOW Fund (New and Ongoing Wishes)

Frequently Asked Questions

List of 6 items.

  • Why is Annual Giving important? What does it fund?

Simply put, Annual Giving funds many of the “extras” that make an ECS education so worthwhile. The generous support of our community bridges the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of an ECS education, providing flexibility within our operating budget to offer the enrichments that set ECS apart.
  • Do all independent schools fundraise?

Yes, all independent schools fundraise. Tuition does not cover the true cost of educating a student.
  • Why doesn’t ECS simply raise tuition to cover the true cost of an ECS education?

We endeavour to keep our tuition comparable to that of our peer schools, and at a level that makes an ECS education accessible to students from diverse financial backgrounds. Also, Annual Giving donations are tax deductible, whereas tuition is not.
  • Is my gift tax-deductible?

Annual Giving donations are tax deductible. We will issue you a charitable giving receipt. ECS’ Registered Charitable Number is: 107279218 RR 0001
  • Why do we aim for 100% participation?

100% participation is evidence of our community’s belief in our mission, as we all come together to support our school. This is in line with our foundational Non Nobis principle: as we instill in our girls the essential value of giving to their city and world, we model it through our own investment in their school. Robust participation in the Annual Fund sends a message of stability to prospective families, foundations, and other outside funding partners.
  • I can’t give much; does my small donation really make a difference?

Yes! Every gift has an impact, helping to fund needs large and small. Each donation gets us closer to our goal of 100% participation and demonstrates your investment in our girls. We ask that you give at a level that is personally meaningful and that makes sense for your family.
